Which materials do you use on Buhita pieces?
We only use precious metals and natural stones. We carefully select the best quality of stones.
Also all our new silver pieces are hallmarked with 925 sterling silver stamp.
What is the difference between cabuchon and cut stone?
Cabuchon presents a flat finish on the bottom and on a cut stone you usually see more facets on the surface and it's mostly finished with a pointed bottom, like a diamond.
What is a rose-cut diamond?
It's an old way of cutting the diamond. It has been used since the 16th Century. It has 12 to 16 facets on the surface.
How do I look after a Buhita plain silver piece?
We recommend to keep the jewellery in good care when not worn. A Buhita or a little cotton bag keeps them protected.
Also avoid any contact with perfume or soap.
Should you need to clean your pieces, a toothbrush with some dish soap and luke warm water is most recommended.
What about gold plated jewellery?
All the platings are 18 ct gold vermeil.
You should not expose the pieces to water, perfume or cream for a long lasting vermeil. Of course it should be kept inside our Buhita bag when not worn.
